Part 2 The Tour.

Video Games, Dart Guns, and Energy Drinks.

So Eric and I left the burger shack. I followed him to where he lived. I was confused at first. It wasn't an apartment, a house, or a condo. It was a Mini Mart.
I asked him "You live here?"
"Yeah. This place is awesome. The land lord is a major I.T. guy. This building use to be an office, he bought it and converted the front to a mini mart, but he left the last 4th of the offices intact. There are six empty offices that got turned into bed rooms."
I couldn't believe this. "You're fucking with me right?"
"Now why would I do that?" He said this as he walked to the front door.
We entered the front to be greeted by a guy behind the counter. I can't remember his name because the staff was always changing. We walked to the back freezer and Eric opened the door. He explained to me that this was an open area that any one could access. Then the coolest thing happened.
  Eric said "Check this out."
He placed his thumb on a small black panel that was placed next to another door in the freezer. A feww second later the panel lit up green and the door opened.
"Each person that live here has there thumb print on record, you can have 2 guests added to your access list and they can be denied access if you chose to change your list online. You know encase you're girlfriend is being a bitch or you don't want you friends to bother you. Probably the coolest thing is that if a friend calls you and needs to come in but isn't on the list and you are out you can call or text a number and the look opens for 20 seconds. Nifty right?"
I was speechless. something didn't seem right though. "Why are you showing me this if I don't even live here yet?"
Eric replied in that sly voice again. "My dad is the landlord, as long as you can pay the rent as far as I'm concerned you do live here. You can afford $700 a month right? That also includes gas, electricity, cable, internet, water, and a $30 shopping budget from the front store. If you work hours in the store you get paid $10 and hour in grocery money. Sound affordable?"
I could barely speak the words "Hell Yes."
Then I checked out my "room". After that I introduced myself to my new "room mates" and then the craziness began.
